Three-Vehicle Collision Near Salvia Road Left Multiple FatalitiesPALM SPRINGS, CA (September 5, 2023) – Sunday afternoon, three people were killed in a multi-vehicle crash on North Gene Autry Trail.The fatal collision happened just before 3:00 p.m. between Salvia Road and Via Escuela. Police said high winds in the area kicked up sand, causing poor visibility in the area.Based on the initial investigation, two northbound vehicles on North Gene Autry Trail slowed down due to the “blowing sand”. However, a third vehicle failed to slow down and collided with one of the first vehicles.Unfortunately, the first responders declared the driver and the two passengers inside the third car dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics transported the two other people from the wreckage to a hospital for minor to moderate injuries. Joshua Ivie Arrested after Deadly Hit-and-Run Collision on Grant Road and Jones RoadHARRIS COUNTY, TX (September 5, 2023) – Sunday night, Carolee Dwer was killed in a hit-and-run crash on West Cypress Forest Drive.The incident happened on August 27th, at around 9:00 a.m., at the 13800 block of West Cypress Forest Drive near Grant Road and Jones Road.According to reports, a Ford Explorer was speeding in the area when the driver lost control. The vehicle veered off the road and struck a Dwer as she was crossing the street. The SUV continued forward into a house causing Dwer to become pinned between the house and the automobile.Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after. (KRON) -- A shooting occurred on campus at Skyline High School in Oakland while students were in class Tuesday, investigators said. Oakland Police Department officers swarmed the school, detained four suspects, and arrested two. No one was injured, OPD Captain James Bassett said. The shooting happened at 11:30 a.m. and the school was placed on lockdown. "Evidence of a shooting was recovered, including a handgun," Bassett said. "Thankfully there were no reported injuries." Parents received a text message from school officials just before 1 p.m. confirming that all students and staff were safe.Police and school district officials declined to release any further details about the arrested suspects. Jessica Quej-Caal was last seen in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Aug. 22 at her home in the 2100 block of Meekland Avenue in Hayward, according to police.Jessica is described as 16 years old, with long, straight, black hair and brown eyes.
