KHAN YOUNIS, Gaza Strip (AP) — Israeli forces pressed their offensive against Hamas in northern Gaza on Monday, battling militants around a hospital where thousands of patients and displaced people have been sheltering for weeks, raising Palestinian fears of another painful standoff and evacuation of a medical facility.A shell struck the second floor of the Indonesian Hospital, killing at least 12 people, according to a medical worker inside the facility and the Health Ministry in Hamas-run Gaza. Both blamed Israeli forces. There was no immediate comment from the Israeli military.The advance came a day after the World Health Organization evacuated 31 premature babies from Shifa Hospital. Police in Fairfax County, Virginia, have identified a suspect in the shooting death of a 44-year-old man inside a Falls Church hotel on Sunday.Hiep Van Vo, 43, of Annandale, Virginia, is a suspect in the shooting that happened after 12:40 a.m. in the 3100 block of Fairview Park Drive at the Falls Church Marriott Fairview Park hotel.Police found Charles Anthony Ashe Jr., of Maryland, near an elevator with gunshot wounds to the upper body, according to a news release. First responders with fire and rescue at the hotel on an unrelated call were able to take Ashe to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.Preliminary investigations determined that Ashe and Vo knew one another. DENVER (KDVR) — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a driver in the area of Interstate 70 and Interstate 225 Sunday morning.According to the Denver Police Department, officers were investigating a deadly crash in Aurora involving multiple motorists. The department tweeted about the crash at 3:16 a.m. Sunday. At the time, DPD said one motorist was pronounced dead.
